Permanent Endowment Fund

"Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver."

2 Corinthians 9:7

About The Permanent Endowment Fund:

The Farmingdale United Methodist Church Permanent Endowment Fund was founded in 1995 at the encouragement of the Pastor and a few of the church’s long standing leaders. Among those leaders was Boyd Howe, Steven Nowotarski, and Barbara Gray. Together they recognized the fact that our church was a beautiful and valuable building and that, as it continues to age, upkeep in the future will require funding. These facts, coupled with the continuing trend toward shrinking congregations in Methodist churches, led them to the decision that the establishment of an endowment fund with its potential for supplemental income was important for the long term financial health of the FUMC. Since its inception in 1995 the fund has grown through donations and fund appreciation.
